More Doula Information
-
Having a doula offers continuous, compassionate support throughout your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey. A doula is there to help you feel informed, empowered, and comforted, whether you're navigating the emotional or physical aspects of labor. We provide evidence-based information, help with pain management techniques, advocate for your wishes, and create a calm and nurturing environment. Our goal is to ensure that you feel supported and confident every step of the way, so you can focus on what’s most important: your well-being and your baby.

Yes, setting up payments or a sliding scale rate is something I can absolutely arrange. I offer a range of options to suit your needs, and we’ll go over all the available choices during the contract process to ensure everything is set up the way you prefer. If you have specific requirements, I am happy to discuss them in detail.
-
Yes, I do offer postpartum care. Support during the postpartum period is an important part of the services I provide, and care is tailored to meet the unique needs of each family. If you have specific questions about pricing or would like to learn more about what’s included, I’d be happy to discuss the details with you.

During a prenatal meeting, we’ll take time to get to know each other, discuss your birth preferences, and talk through any questions or concerns you have about pregnancy, labor, or postpartum. We'll also go over comfort techniques, create a birth plan if you'd like one, and talk about how I can best support you and your partner. It’s all about making sure you feel informed, confident, and supported as you prepare for birth.
-
In rare cases where I’m unable to attend your birth—such as due to illness, a family emergency, or unexpected travel restrictions like severe weather—I still ensure you have support. I offer virtual or on-call assistance to guide you through labor with continuous support, and I also work with a trusted backup doula who can step in if needed. We’ll review these options ahead of time so you feel confident and cared for, no matter the circumstances.

A doula is a trained professional who provides continuous emotional, physical, and informational support during pregnancy, labor, and postpartum. Unlike a midwife or doctor, a doula doesn’t provide medical care, diagnose, or perform medical procedures. Instead, our role is to support you in your choices, offer comfort measures, and help create a positive, empowering birth experience. Midwives and doctors are responsible for medical care, monitoring the health of both you and your baby, and overseeing any medical interventions that may be needed. While doulas work alongside your healthcare team, our primary focus is on your emotional and physical well-being, ensuring you feel supported and informed throughout your birth journey.
-
It’s ideal to hire a doula as early as possible, ideally during the first or second trimester, so we have plenty of time to build a strong relationship and discuss your birth preferences. However, you can hire a doula at any point during your pregnancy, even in the third trimester. The sooner we connect, the more time we have to prepare, but I’m always here to support you no matter when you reach out. The important thing is to ensure you feel supported and confident in your birth experience, so don’t hesitate to contact me whenever you feel ready!

Absolutely! Whether you’re planning a C-section or an epidural, I’m here to support you in any birth experience you choose. My role is to ensure you feel informed, empowered, and supported, regardless of your birth plan. For a planned C-section, I can provide emotional support before and after the surgery, help you with relaxation techniques, and advocate for your wishes with your healthcare team. If you opt for an epidural, I’ll assist with comfort measures during labor and help you feel relaxed and confident throughout the process. My goal is to support you in whatever way feels best for you and help create a positive, calm birth experience.

Yes, I am available to support you no matter where you choose to give birth—whether at home, in a hospital, or at a birth center. Each birth environment is unique, and my role is to provide consistent emotional, physical, and informational support tailored to your needs. I’ll work with you and your birth team to ensure you feel comfortable, informed, and empowered, wherever you choose to bring your baby into the world.

Absolutely! I offer a free initial consultation so we can get to know each other and see if we’re a good match. Finding the right connection is the first step in working with me—it’s important that you feel comfortable, supported, and aligned with my approach. During our meeting, you’ll have the chance to ask questions, share your goals, and learn more about how I work. And if it turns out I’m not the best fit for your needs, I’m happy to refer you to other trusted doulas who may better align with your preferences. My priority is that you feel confident and well supported on your journey.
To set up your free consultation, just visit the “Let’s Connect!” page on my website—I’d love to hear from you! -
I believe that birth is a sacred, personal, and transformative experience. My philosophy is rooted in trusting the birthing person and honoring their unique journey—whether that includes an unmedicated birth, an epidural, a C-section, or any other path. I support birth as a powerful opportunity to connect more deeply with your body, your baby, your inner (or divine) self, and the people supporting you. I aim to hold a safe, calm space where you feel empowered, informed, and cared for. Every birth is different, and my role is to support you in making choices that align with your values and help you feel connected and confident—body, mind, and spirit.

Yes, you’re welcome to do yoga sessions with your partner! Partner sessions can be a wonderful way to connect, support each other, and share the experience. Reiki is a gentle and non-invasive healing practice that can benefit both you and your baby. For parents, Reiki can help with postpartum recovery, reduce stress, improve sleep, and promote emotional balance. As for your baby, Reiki energy can support their natural calming processes, enhance bonding, and help with common discomforts like colic. However, it’s important to note that your baby doesn’t have to directly receive Reiki. With your consent, Reiki energy can be guided around your baby to create a soothing environment without physical touch. The goal is always to offer healing in a way that feels comfortable and respectful for both of you.
-
Not at all! Reiki is a gentle, hands-on (or even hands-off) practice that many pregnant people find calming and supportive. It’s all about creating space for you to relax, recharge, and feel more connected to your body—something that can be really grounding during pregnancy.
Reiki is always about consent and comfort. You get to decide what feels right, and your practitioner should check in with you throughout the session. It can be a lovely way to care for yourself during pregnancy, or something to explore postpartum to help with rest, recovery, and emotional balance.

During a Reiki session, we’ll meet in a private, peaceful studio space where you can fully relax and focus on your well-being. Comfortable props, such as cushions or blankets, will be provided to ensure maximum comfort, but you’re always encouraged to move around or adjust as needed. Reiki is a gentle, hands-off practice, and I’ll typically use very little touch—if any—always with your consent first. Throughout the session, I may talk you through the process, describing what I'm doing or any sensations you might experience. The goal is to create a calm, healing environment where you can feel safe, supported, and at ease.

A: During a yoga session, we’ll meet in a private, peaceful studio space where you can fully relax and focus on your practice. Comfortable props, such as mats, cushions, and blankets, will be provided to ensure maximum comfort, but you’re always encouraged to move or adjust as needed to feel most at ease. I offer gentle hands-on assists if requested, but consent is always my priority—if you prefer not to have any physical touch, that’s completely respected. Throughout the session, I’ll guide you through the poses and offer verbal cues, adjustments, and modifications tailored to your body’s needs. The aim is to create a safe and calming environment where you feel supported, relaxed, and empowered in your practice.
